These Terms set out the rights and obligations between users and the SSW Japan Study Portal operator (the "Operator") regarding the provision and use of SSW Japan Study Portal (the "Service"). By consenting to these Terms or using the Service, users agree to these Terms.
Users shall use the Service at their own risk. The Operator may restrict or suspend use to the extent necessary if there are reasonable grounds that make continued provision of the Service difficult, including violation of these Terms, fraudulent use, or security risks.
Users under 18 must obtain consent from a parent or other legal representative before purchasing paid services. If consent cannot be obtained, they cannot purchase paid services. This purchase condition does not apply to features available for free.
Users shall appropriately manage their own account information and must not allow third parties to use it. Actions taken through an account will be treated as actions by that account's user unless the Operator acted intentionally or negligently.
The content, access period, price, payment method, delivery timing, and refund conditions for paid services are displayed on the purchase page and in the disclosure under the Act on Specified Commercial Transactions. Users shall review the displayed information before applying to purchase.
Individual paid plans are one-time payments through Stripe and do not renew automatically. A contract is formed when payment completion is confirmed, and access is granted for the purchased number of days. If an active access period already exists, the purchased days are added to its end date.
In the future, the Operator may change prices, offer discounts or campaigns, or make all or part of paid services free. We do not issue refunds solely because the price falls after purchase or the same or similar features become available free of charge. Purchased access remains available for the displayed access period, except where refunds or other measures are required by law.
If a user requests account deletion, their access rights end when the account is deleted, even if an active access period remains. In that case, we do not refund unused time for reasons attributable to the user, except where refunds or other measures are required by law.
Users must not engage in the following acts.
Intellectual property rights to text, images, programs, and other content in the Service belong to the Operator or their rightful owners. Reproduction, redistribution, or similar use beyond private use is not permitted without the Operator's prior permission.
The Operator may change, interrupt, suspend, or terminate all or part of the Service for system maintenance, incident response, legal compliance, force majeure, or other reasonable reasons. If advance notice is possible, it will be given on the Service or by other appropriate means; this does not apply in an emergency. If we cannot provide paid services for reasons attributable to us, we will respond in accordance with the disclosure under the Act on Specified Commercial Transactions and applicable law.
The operator makes no guarantee about the accuracy, completeness, timeliness, usefulness, or fitness of the information on this service. Please check official sources or other proper sources at your own responsibility when needed.
If a user suffers damage due to the Operator's ordinary negligence, the Operator's liability for damages is limited to actual, ordinary, and direct damages, up to the amount paid by the user for the paid service that caused the damage. This limitation does not apply in cases of the Operator's intentional misconduct or gross negligence, or where it is not permitted by law.
The Operator may amend these Terms when the amendment serves the general interests of users, or is reasonable in light of the need for the amendment, the appropriateness of its content, and other circumstances. For important amendments, we will announce the effective date and the content of the amendment in advance on the Service or by other appropriate means. The amended Terms apply from the announced effective date.
These Terms are governed by Japanese law. The Tokyo District Court or Tokyo Summary Court has exclusive agreed jurisdiction as the court of first instance for disputes concerning the Service, except where another jurisdiction is permitted by law.
