After receiving a job offer, check the employment contract and working conditions. For Specified Skilled Worker, job duties, pay, support system, and preparation for the residence status application are related to the procedures after signing the contract.
What to Check Before Signing a Contract
Job duties, job type, assigned department, and work location
Contract period, planned start date, and whether there is a probation period
Monthly or hourly wage, bonus, pay raise, and salary payment date
Working hours, breaks, days off, overtime, and night shifts
Deductions for taxes, social insurance, dormitory fees, meals, utilities, and other costs
Rules for resignation and contract renewal
If using a registered support organization, its name and contact information
Important Standards for SSW
Pay must be equal to or higher than that of Japanese workers doing the same job
Contracts that set a deposit or penalty fee are not allowed
As a rule, the person must not bear the costs of support for SSW(i) foreign nationals
