1.Venue and Schedule

2.Exam Fee

Check the official guidance for exam fees。Fees may vary by country、category、and exam session。

Distinguish exam fees、pass certificate issuance fees、and the cost of any separately required qualification exams。Also check the rules for changing bookings・cancellation・retaking the exam before paying。

3.Japanese・work experience・application requirements

For Specified Skilled Worker (ii)、a ministerial ordinance requiring Japanese proficiency equivalent to B1 or higher to be verified through tests or other means is scheduled to take effect from 1 April 2027。When applying、distinguish current sector requirements from the methods of proof・transitional measures after the ordinance takes effect、and check the latest guidance。

Practical experience as a supervisor directing・instructing・managing multiple workers is required。

Specified Skilled Worker (ii) status is not granted automatically after spending time under Specified Skilled Worker (i) status。You must meet each requirement for skill level、field-specific work experience、Japanese proficiency、employment contract and other conditions。For additional Japanese requirements and changes from 2027、check the latest field-specific operational guidelines。

Even if you pass an exam、a job or approval of your status of residence is not guaranteed。Besides exam eligibility、check the employment contract and residence application requirements。
