Prometric states that the Construction Sector Specified Skilled Worker (ii) Evaluation Test is held at test centers in Japan. Choose one of three categories: civil engineering, building construction, or lifeline and equipment.

For tests in Japan, Prometric's country-specific test fee page lists "Construction Sector Specified Skilled Worker (ii) Evaluation Test JPY 1,000."
Reservations and changes can generally be made from 59 days before the test date until 23:59 (Japan time) three business days before the test date. If the test date is a Saturday, Sunday, or Japanese national holiday, the deadline is four business days before.
For tests taken on or after August 1, 2026, Prometric states that you log in from the same entrance as the No. 1 test and select the No. 2 test on the test selection screen.
You can check the result notice on My Page of the reservation site within 5 business days after the exam.
If you pass and need a certificate of passing for an application such as acceptance plan certification, apply for issuance through the JAC Members app.
Even if you pass the test, it does not always mean you will be granted SSW residence status. Other requirements, such as work experience, are also checked when you apply.
