As a general eligibility rule, you must be 17 or older on the exam date. Indonesian nationals must be 18 or older.
For the fisheries category, applicants are advised that they are highly likely to be unable to work in Japan unless they have at least three years of fishing experience or have graduated from a fisheries education institution.
