This page summarizes the Specified Skilled Worker Type 2 evaluation exam for food and beverage manufacturing, based on official OTAFF information. To take the exam, you must confirm at least 2 years of management-related work experience in food and beverage manufacturing, working while guiding multiple workers and managing processes.
Domestic tests for FY 2026 have been administered since June 23, 2026. Corporate registrant bookings began at 13:00 on May 25, 2026, and can be made for tests up to three months ahead.
For the SSW (ii) test, first complete corporate and test-taker registration through the corporate account, then choose a date, time, and venue in the test-taker account. You cannot apply with only an individual account.
To take the test, you must be at least 17 on the test date, hold a valid status of residence, have a qualifying passport (currently, any passport except an Iranian passport), and have at least 2 years of verifiable work experience managing work and processes while supervising multiple workers in the food and beverage manufacturing industry.
OTAFF explains that after examinee registration, users are guided to the examinee My Page, where they can select the exam date, time, and venue, pay the exam fee, and download the exam result notice online.

The exam result notice can usually be downloaded from My Page within 5 business days after the exam date. It is not sent by mail.
An exam result notice showing Pass becomes the certificate, and the same notice is used for applications to the Immigration Services Agency.
